February is LGBT+ History Month in the UK, a month in which we recognise and celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and additional queer histories.
This year it will take place from 22-26 February with a theme of ‘Expect the Unexpected – Financial Planning for a Rainy Day’

During Black History Month, we launched a new campaign, Black and Beyond: Celebrating Black excellence, which aims to centre the contributions and achievements of our Black staff and students, featuring profiles of individuals from across our St George’s community. Learn more.
We’ve created Making Connections to provide a range of virtual communities and formats that will help you make connections with fellow students from across programmes and with staff at a time when Covid-19 restrictions mean that our university community is operating partially online.
Colleagues have given their time and energy to create videos, virtual events, resources and blogs, offering you the chance to connect with others, explore new ideas and skills and find out a bit more about your colleagues.
The Student Life Centre is open throughout the week to help with queries and problems. We are located on the ground floor of Hunter Wing.
As well as being home to the SU bar, shop, music room and dance studios, we have over 100 clubs and societies that keep students busy at St George's.
