Monitoring of our Concordat action plan is undertaken by the HREiRA Working Group including representatives from PhD students, the Postdoc forum, Human Resources, Joint Research and Enterprise Service (JRES), Research Technicians and academics.

This report outlines the progress St George’s, University of London has made in achieving its Action Plan for the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, following its external eight year review under the Concordat. The University was informed in February 2023 that it was successful in retaining the European Commission HR Excellence in Research Award at the eight-year external review point. The next review will be the 11 year review in July 2025.

Six-year review

We have completed an internal self-assessment and analysis for the 6-year review of our HR Excellence in Research Award. The following documents include our 6 year review report highlighting St George’s achievements against our 2018-2020 action plan and our new 6-year review action plan 2020-2022.

This HREiRA Annual Report to Council (May 2021) (PDF) outlines the progress St George’s, University of London has made in achieving its HREiRA 6 year action plan which supports the University’s  commitment to the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, following its internal 6year self-assessment under the Concordat in April 2020.

Monitoring of our Concordat action plan is undertaken by the HREiRA Working Group including representatives from PhD students, the Postdoc forum, Human Resources, Joint Research and Enterprise Service (JRES), Research Technicians and academics.

The Working Group liaises with relevant stakeholders to determine progress with regard to the action plan and any further actions that may be required. As part of this review and  progress against our 6-year action plan one year on the HREiRA Working Group asked the key stakeholders in this action plan to update us on actions/areas of development that sat within their area of responsibility.  These actions relate to researcher culture and environment, employment, professional and career development.

Our 8-year review is due on 7 July 2022. This report will therefore also contribute towards the 8 year self-assessment due in July 2022.
