Your graduation ceremony is the highlight of the academic year. It is a celebration of your hard work and commitment, so it is important for us to make it a day for you and your family and friends to remember. Congratulations! You did it!

Graduation ceremonies 2021

Regretfully, we have concluded that the graduation ceremonies scheduled for July 2021 cannot go ahead. The continuing Covid-19 restrictions are not compatible with large-scale gatherings in the Barbican at present.

In March 2021 we carried out a survey of 2020 graduates and the students graduating in 2021. This asked for their input to help shape our plans on marking graduation. Highlights of these surveys are available below.

Thank you to all those who took part in the surveys for the invaluable feedback, which emphasised the importance of an in-person ceremony. As a result, all 2020 and 2021 graduates will be invited to the ceremonies planned for 27-29 July 2022, when it is hoped that all social distancing restrictions will have been lifted.

In the meantime, students graduating in 2021 will be offered the opportunity to attend end of course celebrations with peers and teaching staff on the St George’s site, to mark the completion of studies. Further information on these events will be available soon.
