This is your chance to wear full academic dress – the formal gown, hood and cap worn by graduates.
You will be able to order your gown at the same time as booking your place at the ceremony, or if you would prefer to wait, you can order via Ede and Ravenscroft after booking your place. If you are booking your gown on the website, search for “St George’s” and then select “St George’s, University of London.” You will need to enter your student number (i.e 1234567), your surname, and your email address. You can log back in to your Ede & Ravenscroft account to amend your order at a later date.
There may be a limited number of gowns available on the day of your ceremony, but the correct size and type of gown cannot be guaranteed if not pre-booked.
Graduations are a celebratory but formal occasion. We encourage you to dress as smart as possible underneath your gown. A shirt or blouse may help you fasten your hood in place, alternatively you can bring a safety pin. If you would prefer to wear military uniform or your national dress, please get in touch.
Top tip: it is July and it might be hot! Please bear this in mind when choosing what to wear underneath your gown.

Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your order within 14 days after the date you are sent your order confirmation (unless the ceremony takes place during this time) and no administration fee will be charged. If you cancel your order following this 14 day period and up to 5 July 2024, then you may be changed an administration fee.
