The next Allied Health Professions Day will take place on Saturday 14 October 2023.

What is Allied Health Professions Day?

Allied Health Professions (AHPs) Day is an annual opportunity for AHPs to come together and celebrate being part of the AHP family. It is also an opportunity to showcase to others the impact AHPs make to the delivery of high quality care. The collaborations in services, organisations, trusts, regions and nationally enable:

  • improved awareness of the role of the fourteen allied health professions
  • showcasing achievements of local services and their impact on patient care and population health
  • integrated working with other services and organisations.

Why we're taking part

The Centre for Allied Health at St George's want to use AHPs Day to:

  • increase awareness of our work across St George’s
  • share the impact achieved by our staff and students
  • develop relationship with stakeholders and seek out opportunities to share stories of our achievements within their networks.

Our new Head of the Centre for Allied Health and Associate Professor for Paramedic Science, Chris Baker, says:

“At St George’s, we are proud to be leading providers of health, social care and education courses and training in the UK. Our Allied Health staff, students and alumni play a vital role in providing person-centred care to patients. Allied Health Professions Day is an opportunity to recognise the incredible contributions of our staff, students and alumni and celebrate their achievements, as well as inspiring others to leave a lasting impact on the people and communities they serve."
