This July, St George’s held its first in person graduation ceremonies in three years. Seven ceremonies took place over four days on 12, 27, 28 and 29 July at the Barbican centre.
If you would like to arrange a get-together for you and your university friends, we can help. Reunions are the perfect way to reconnect with old friends, catch up on what’s changed and reminisce about your university days. We’re here to help make it happen and can support you in a variety of different ways to make organising your reunion a simple, stress-free and rewarding experience.
At the Development and Alumni Office, we recognise that you are part of a global community and want to make sure that you are still able to connect with one another, wherever you are in the world. If you would be interested in holding an online reunion, read the step-by-step guide below and get in touch to arrange next steps.
Contact us to register your interest in holding a reunion.
Work with the Alumni Engagement Officer to put together a message to your old classmates inviting them to a reunion, including a suggested date and time for the reunion to take place and asking classmates to contact the Alumni Engagement Officer.
When a date and time has been chosen and all classmates have contacted the Alumni Engagement Officer as requested in step 2, each participant should receive an invitation to join a Microsoft Teams meeting. If you have not received the link 12 hours prior to the start of the meeting, make sure it is not in your junk mail and email us so that we can send you a new link.
At the time of the reunion, click the link in the email invitation (step 3) to join the meeting. You can then click the ‘join meeting’ button to join either by audio or video.
After the meeting, you might wish to get in touch with us. We welcome any feedback and comments, and would love to hear about how your reunion went. Please feel free to share quotes and photos (perhaps old class photos, or a screenshot of your class during the call, being sure to cut out any personal information on the screen) as we would love to be able to share news of your reunion with the rest of the alumni community.
If you need a way to register your guests, issue tickets and collect payment for the event, we can handle this for you through our online booking system, keeping it simple, secure and streamlined so you can concentrate on enjoying your event.
If you’re thinking about arranging a get-together and would like some help, please let us know by emailing us or calling us on 0208 266 6195.
