The helpdesk is located at the entrance to the library. Here you can obtain help with general library enquiries.
Library staff are available at the helpdesk from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Outside of these hours, the desk is manned by security staff.
The research enquiries desk (RED), located towards the back of the library, is a great place to get advice on finding articles, accessing resources and for guidance on referencing.
The research enquiries desk is staffed from 11am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday during term time and 12pm to 2pm during the summer holiday. These hours are subject to change depending on the time of year and staffing levels so please check in advance by phoning the library helpdesk on 020 8725 5466 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).
The desk offers a drop-in service for queries about finding information, accessing resources and for guidance on referencing. Please note that we can only give examples

Liaison librarians can work with you to navigate academic healthcare information, develop and define your research topics, create optimal literature search strategies and manage your references.

The Academic Success Centre (ASC) in the library foyer provides face-to-face support for a range of study issues, including effective study strategies, writing academic assignments, and English language help. The ASC is run by Dr Rosie MacLachlan, Lecturer in Learning Development. You can access it in two ways, either via drop-in or by appointment.

Support for Microsoft Office is available on a drop-in basis in the main computer room next to the library, on the first floor of Hunter Wing. Opening times during term time are Tuesday and Thursday, 11am to 1pm.
The Learning Technology Services (LTS) team provides operational support and training to staff and students regarding the use of several technologies used St George’s to support teaching and learning across all courses.

IT support staff can provide advice or help with passwords, laptops, mobile devices, Wi-Fi etc on a drop-in basis at the IT Helpdesk on corridor 3, Jenner Wing. Opening times are Monday to Friday, 12pm to 2pm.
Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, the IT Helpdesk is not currently open. Should you require assistance, please email the ITAV Support team.
