From 1 December 2020, a new Short-term Study route is being introduced for students who wish to come to the UK to study English Language courses for between 6 and 11 months at an accredited institution. Students who wish to come to the UK to study for 6 months or less may be able to so under the Visitor route.
The Short-term study route has been extended to allow applications from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who enter the UK on or after 11 pm on 31 December 2020, and are not eligible to apply under the EU settlement scheme.
