Mantainance Fees increase - January 2025

From 2 January 2025, the maintenance funs students need to show to support their visa application will increase to £1,483 per months (for up to 9 months) for courses in London.

You will need to demonstrate up to £13,347 in maintenance funds to support your visa application if you are planning to apply for a student visa from January 2025.

Immigration Health Surcharge increase – February 2024

The UK government has confirmed that the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), a mandatory fee that applies to student visa application for study of 6 months or more, has increased from 6th February 2024.

Paying the IHS allows visa holders to access the National Health Service (NHS), the UK’s health care system, similar to UK nationals or permanent residents. The IHS must be paid at the start to a visa application process.

For students, the IHS has increased from £470 per year to £776 per year. From the 1st January 2021, EU/EEA nationals applying under the new UK immigration system must pay the IHS, among other visa fees.
