Research administration services support research activities of St George’s by providing efficient and high-quality administration to all research staff.

General administration

Administrative staff in Research Operations provide administrative support for the research community including: servicing committees and steering group meetings, mailing list coordination, Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs) administrative support and personal assistant work for senior leadership.

Purchasing

A dedicated research purchasing service is available for all research staff and ranges from guidance on large scale procurement to regular consumables purchasing. Our staff are highly experienced in providing the support needed to ensure goods are procured efficiently and in accordance to St George’s policy.

Financial administration and reporting

Research Operations staff will help you manage your research funding working together with the JRES, producing funding reports, generating journal requests, investigating queries and supporting researchers to spend funding effectively and efficiently.

Travel booking

We have a designated travel booker within Research Operations, who can help guide you through the travel booking system and can be contacted here. This includes booking and arranging travel: for staff, visitors and/or collaborators who attend St. George’s - as required.
 
To book travel please first complete this form which serves as a request from Research Institutes’ staff members specifying their travel/accommodation requirements and enables our travel booker to research the most suitable options in an efficient and timely manner.
 
Please be aware that 3 weeks’ notice period is required for booking domestic travel and 4 weeks’ notice for international travel.

Research events and meetings

Our experienced staff will support you with event management, to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently. This support includes room booking, delegate invitations, promotion and communication management, producing materials, managing interactions with stakeholders/commercial partners, logistics and assistance with hosting the event.
