Joint Research & Enterprise Services

Robert manages the Translational and Clinical Research Institute (TACRI), hosted by St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust in collaboration with St George’s, University of London.

TACRI is a new virtual institute and organisation structure comprised of clinical researchers (nurses, doctors and allied health professionals) from both organisations. It provides a structure for members to register their interest and outputs, achieve visibility, form new collaborations and enable personal and institutional development. Membership is open to all permanent staff of the Trust and University who have a research interest in translational research.

TACRI will also be providing seminars and courses for those who are new to research. Additionally, TACRI will be involved in showcasing the achievements of our various Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs) which will become part of TACRI. TACRI will also serve as a hub for those researchers and specialities who do not currently have a dedicated CAG.

If you are interested in joining or finding out more about TACRI, or have any questions, please contact Robert using the contact here.

Robert has been working in clinical research in the NHS for over 5 years. Robert’s first starting post was as a clinical researcher for Saving Faces, the Facial Surgery Research Foundation before moving on to become one of CRN South London’s Senior Research Facilitators. His knowledge spans the life-cycle of setting up and running clinical studies in the NHS, from grant applications, costings and resource allocation to collating data & analysis for publication. Over the past couple of years Robert has also been involved in clinical research education and training courses, facilitating Good Clinical Practice & other courses for Prinicpal Investigators (PIs).
