Dr Roaa Al-Bedaery

Clinical Lecturer in Primary Care Education, Deputy lead Final year GP Assistantship Placement

Dr Al-bedaery trained in medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and also completed a further Science degree from King's College London in Fetal and Maternal health.  Dr Al-bedaery pursued her postgraduate GP training as an Academic Clinical Fellow and completed an MSc in Medical Education at UCL with First Class Honours, receiving the UCL Dean's research prize.  

  Following postgraduate training, she has developed a portfolio career integrating clinical work in general practice in Richmond London with her role as a Clinical lecturer within the Primary Care Education team at St George's University of London (SGUL).

Her academic role involves teaching students and educational research, which she has published and presented at international conferences. She has been awarded best for Education at the 2021 Society of Academic Primary Care annual meeting and most recently the 2024 Education Innovation Award, Association for the study of Medical Education.
