In her current role, Joanna has overall responsibility for managing relationships with current NHS and international partners, overseeing processes for service provision and monitoring through student feedback and QA visits. She is also responsible for the undergraduate medical education tariff and clinical placement budget planning in liaison with Higher Education England.

Other areas of her work include oversight of MBBS curriculum development and the international MBBS teach-out process.

Joanna manages the MBBS Quality Team and liaises with the MBBS senior leadership as well as administrative and academic colleagues across the university.
