Dr Baba Sheba

Baba comes with a background in higher education leadership and digital transformation and serves as the Director of Digital Education with responsibility for all aspects of planning, implementing and resourcing the University strategy for digital education, including leadership of the Centre for Technology in Education (CTiE) and the Professional Education Centre (PEC). Baba is a Reader in Educational Technology and Business Strategy. Prior to St George’s, he held academic leadership roles in private higher education and consultancy.

Baba comes with a background in higher education leadership and digital transformation, leveraging expertise in educational technology, digital education, strategic planning and innovation to drive quality and expand provision. He currently serves as the Director of Digital Education at St George’s with responsibility for all aspects of planning, implementing and resourcing the University strategy for digital education, including leadership of the Centre for Technology in Education (CTiE) and the Professional Education Centre (PEC). Baba is a Reader in Educational Technology and Business Strategy. Baba is an academic member of the University Council and chairs the Short Course Committee, Education Technology Monitoring Group, and Digital Accessibility Group within the University.

Prior to St George’s, Baba worked in private higher education in various academic leadership roles, and in consultancy. He remains involved in consultancy focused on areas of programme/project management, training, and digital productivity.

Baba holds a PhD in Management and Governance from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He is an alumnus of three UK Universities: Kings College London (PgCAP), University of Wales (MSc Finance and Accounting), and University of Hull (BSc Hons in Management and Information Technology). He is a Project Management PRINCE2 Practitioner, a member of the Energy Institute (MEI), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a Trustee of the Ashanti-Akim Community Organisation (AACO).
