Paramedic Science course endorsed by the College of Paramedics

Published: 21 October 2022

St George’s Paramedic Science course has officially been endorsed by the College of Paramedics. The endorsement means that, in addition to meeting the rigorous teaching standards of the Health and Care Professions council, St George’s course is now also supported by the body which represents the paramedic profession.

While the Health and Care Professions Council validates the content of Allied Health Professions university courses to maintain standards from an educational point of view, the decision of the College of Paramedics to endorse St George’s Paramedic Science course is further evidence of how strongly the programme prepares students for the realities of life as a professional paramedic.

Paramedic Science course lead, Chris Baker, says of the achievement, 'The endorsement from the College of Paramedics is a great step for the course and is testimony to the hard work done by everyone within the team to ensure our students are fully prepared for professional life. In addition to the course’s strong National Student Survey scores and Health and Care Professions Council validation, it is a further indication that our programme can help shape the paramedics of the future.'
