Our annual Telephone Fundraising Campaign is taking place from Monday 25 April until Sunday 15 May. Our campaigns offer a wonderful opportunity for some of our current students to update alumni on what’s going on across St George’s and how we can help you stay connected to the university.
Our team of students always enjoy hearing from those who have gone before them about their journey since leaving St George’s, as well as having the opportunity to raise money for important student causes.
This year, we are focusing our fundraising efforts on our Annual Fund and Hardship Fund.
Our Annual Fund allows us to provide flexible funding across the university where our students need it most. In the last year, alumni generosity has enabled us to fund to a range of priority projects – including a newly-launched Equal Representation in Academia (ERA) initiative. ERA offers placements in Research and Industry to students from underrepresented backgrounds, allowing them to gain valuable insight into career paths into these areas.
As our students face unprecedented rising costs of living, we have made it a priority to support even more of those who find themselves facing unexpected financial difficulties due to circumstances beyond their control. Our Hardship Fund allows us to offer much-needed relief to students who find themselves struggling to cover the costs of living and studying in London.
Meet our Student Callers
We spoke to some of the students who will be joining us on this year’s campaign about why they chose to join the team and why fundraising for student causes is important to them.

“I wanted to become a Student Caller to help reconnect with our alumni, as I think it is important to provide both students and alumni with opportunities for networking. I’m looking forward to speaking with alumni to find common subjects we are passionate about.”
