Two recent developments in the library will enhance the student experience and facilitate your learning.

New study pods offer additional space for group and individual learning, thanks to funding from the Office for Students for our Education Transformation Project. The pods were chosen in response to student feedback, received via the National Student Survey, Unitu, and the Library feedback form.

There are six pods: two for group study (3-4 people) and four for individual learning. All pods are soundproofed and contain power, independent lighting and ventilation.

Currently, the pods can be booked via the library helpdesk (8am-6pm, Monday to Friday) for a maximum of two hours per day, but an online self-service booking platform will be introduced later in the year. Outside of bookable hours, the pods are available on a first-come first-served basis.

As well as this, desk power has been installed to most of the tables in the library’s group study area, in response to student feedback.
