We are now in the final week of our 2023 Telephone Campaign and are delighted to share that we have raised over £62,000 so far towards vital student causes.
Helping our students manage the cost-of-living crisis
Our annual campaigns offer a wonderful opportunity for some of our current students to update alumni on what’s going on across St George’s, as well as telling them how our team can help them stay connected to the university.
Our campaigns also raise money for priority projects helping enhance our students’ experience at St George’s, thanks to the generous support of our alumni.
This year, we are focusing our fundraising efforts on raising money for our Hardship Fund to support students through the cost-of-living crisis, as well as raising money for our Annual Fund which provides flexible support where it is most needed across St George’s.
“The generosity of our alumni makes a huge difference, helping to alleviate the financial hardship of those most in need and allowing students to focus on their studies.”

Student Finance Adviser, Helen Williams, says:
“The impact of the increased cost of living is being felt across the student population and we have seen a vast increase in demand for our Hardship Funds this academic year.
"We have a diverse range of students studying with us, including many with dependents and other caring responsibilities, estranged students, care leavers and students from low income families. Intensive placement schedules can also make balancing part-time work with studying all the more challenging.
“The generosity of our alumni makes a huge difference, helping to alleviate the financial hardship of those most in need and allowing students to focus on their studies.”
