We are currently in the final week of our 2022 Telephone Campaign!

Our annual campaigns offer a wonderful opportunity for some of our current students to update alumni on news from St George’s, share information on how they can stay connected to the university and raise money for important student causes. This year, we are focusing our fundraising efforts on our Annual Fund and Hardship Fund.

This year’s campaign kicked off on Monday 25 April, and ends on Sunday 15 May. So far, over 400 alumni have spoken to our team of students. These conversations have already helped us raise almost £80,000 so far in support of projects across the university, which will ensure that our students who need it most are able to thrive.

Our Annual Fund allows us to provide flexible funding across the university where our students need it most. In the last year, alumni generosity has enabled us to fund to a range of priority projects – including a newly-launched Equal Representation in Academia (ERA) initiative. ERA provides students from underrepresented backgrounds with the opportunity to gain valuable insight into careers in Research and Industry.

With costs of living rising, more and more of our students find themselves facing unexpected financial difficulties due to circumstances beyond their control. Our Hardship Fund allows us to offer much-needed relief to students who find themselves struggling to cover the costs of living and studying in London.

"As always, we are absolutely delighted with the generous support we have received from our alumni, which will have a very real impact on our students. “At a time when so many students are facing increasing financial pressures, the gifts received through our campaign will help ensure that our students can access the support they need to fulfil their potential. Donations will also go towards a number of priority projects designed to enhance our students learning and equip them with vital skills for future success, such as the redevelopment of our Clinical Skills Practice Space.”
