Nirja - Careers Week (1)

Nirja graduated from St Georges in 2014. She went on to completing her rotations in South Thames and coming back to St Georges to complete her GP training. Nirja now works as a GP as well as being a Fellow for Health Education England. Nirja keeps a keen interest in medical education both in the surgery, and at the University when she is able.

Nirja works as a dance teacher which she has been doing for the past 4 years. Having cultivated her passion for this through various shows and the Cheerleading Society at university, she developed this passion to teach others. Through this, Nirja has worked with the RCGP to create materials to help keep GPs active during lockdown, as well as introducing the first dance-based wellbeing breaks at RCGP conferences. Nirja is one half of The WorkWell Doctors who work with healthcare teams to improve wellbeing in the workplace. This has become more important in the past year, and The WorkWell Doctors have worked with GPs, The London School of Paediatrics and doctors in training as well as created resources for practitioner health and the RCGP on wellbeing during Covid.
