About the event

Laboratories are very energy and resource intensive and they typically consume 3-10 times more energy than typical non-lab areas.

LEAF, developed by Sustainable UCL, contains actions which all lab users can take to save plastics, water, energy and other resources. By taking part in the LEAF programme, laboratories will reduce their carbon emissions and create a sustainable environment which supports research quality.

This event will introduce lab users to the LEAF framework by an expert in the field, Blanche Kollo, UCL, with the aim to get more SGUL labs to sign up to LEAF and start on their sustainability journey.

This will be a hybrid meeting, allowing both in-person and remote attendance.

More information can be found on The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) page.
