The Biomedical Science Careers Fair
The annual Biomedical Science Careers Fair will be held at St George’s, University of London on Friday 27 October. The fair will run from 9am to 12pm on level 1 of Hunter Wing in the Michael Heron Lecture Theatre and then from 12.00pm to 2.00pm on level 2 in the Boardrooms (H2.5 and H2.8).
The fair will commence with alumni sharing their career paths with St George’s current Biomedical Science students.
The Biomedical Science Careers Lecture
As part of the careers fair programme, at 11.00am in the Michael Heron Lecture Theatre, the annual Biomedical Science Careers Lecture will be delivered by alumna Yasmin Kinobe. Yasmin graduated from St George’s in 2012 and is now a clinical trial manager with over 11 years of experience managing complex clinical trials in infectious disease, vaccines and oncology. Yasmin also recently completed a Master’s in Public Health. Her lecture promises to be a fascinating insight into how a Biomedical Science degree at St George’s can set you up for a long and fruitful professional career.
Following the Careers Lecture, there will be a networking lunch in the boardrooms in which current Biomedical Science students can mingle with alumni to discuss career paths and opportunities. Over thirty recruiter and volunteer organisations, including Pfizer, Roche, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Coachbright, TeachFirst, STEM Ambassadors Hub, the Metropolitan Police and Central London Community Healthcare Trust volunteers, will also be in attendance.
If you would like to take part in the 2023 Biomedical Science Careers Fair or have any questions about the event, please do not hesitate to ask.
