Boards of Examiners are responsible for overseeing the examination process for students. They are appointed annually by Senate and act within the regulations approved by Senate and its subcommittees. They are responsible for determining the outcomes of all student assessments, including reassessment in case of failure and progress from one year or stage of the programme to the next. They also decide on eligibility for exit qualifications, handle academic misconduct cases, ratify claims for recognition of prior learning, and determine the appropriate classification for classified awards and allocation of prizes. They also ensure that all applicable University and programme regulations are met.
