The Quality and Partnerships Directorate (QPD) provides effective and focused leadership in the management and enhancement of educational quality across the university. It also provides leadership for, and oversight of, all work in relation to academic partnerships, including collaborations with current partners and potential and developing partnerships arrangements.
The QPD has a particular responsibility for St George’s, University of London's quality assurance framework and for ensuring that St George’s approach is compliant with the regulatory requirements, including those set out by the Quality Assurance Agency and professional, statutory and regulatory bodies.
As part of its work, the QPD manages the Erasmus+ student and staff mobility programme at St George’s, serving as the designated contact of the UK Erasmus+ agency and supporting applications.
QPD has an institution wide responsibility for operational excellence by working with the Chief Operating Officer on designing and delivering Operational Excellence Projects that are aligned to the needs of the organisation and delivering the operational plan. QPD undertakes business process reviews and mapping, and develops and implements associated changes across the University that improve operational efficiency, organisation and management.
