nithya-balasundaramBiography

I am a PhD student, evaluating the mechanisms of drug resistance in leukaemia emphasizing on the metabolic symbiotic nature of the malignant cells and to target them therapeutically under the guidance of Prof.Vikram Mathews, CMC, India. I joined Prof. Krishna's laboratory as newton-Bhabha PhD Placement student to evaluate the anti cancer potential of artemisinins in combination with conventional chemotherapeutic agents and also to identify the pleiotropic effects of antimalarials mechanistically by employing proteomic and metabolomics approaches.
