To prevent tokenism, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) needs to be a golden thread through all learning, teaching and assessment.

This section is a web-based toolkit that offers advice and guidance for students and staff at St George’s, University of London, containing links to guidance and resources for teaching, assessing and providing feedback in an inclusive way.

Key aspects of inclusivity are to ensure diverse resources are used and different voices are included in the curriculum. This requires an institution-wide approach, as well as individual responsibility for your own areas.  See suggested titles to diversify your readingLibrary staff have also curated resouces including books, journals and web resources. If there are any books you wish to see in the library please suggest a book.

Please note: It is important to remember that some students may have a few characteristics and identity that need to be considered, e.g. an international student may be dyslexic and suffering from poor mental health, a Black or minority ethnic (BAME/student/person of global majority) and may also be LGBTQ+ (see Intersectionality).
