Toni-EDITToni-Leigh Willets is a first year Paramedic Science student who enrolled through Clearing last year. Toni-Leigh reflects on her experience of Clearing and of her time at St George’s thus far.

Toni-Leigh says, “I found the Clearing process to be really straight forward at St George’s. I had some issues providing exam results due to my results from the university I was at previously still being provisional. However, St George's accounted for this and my grades were quickly confirmed by the admissions team once they were finalised."

“I found that I was given an interview for Paramedic Science promptly and knew the outcome straight away, thus relieving much of the usual stress following an interview."

"The staff were helpful in accommodating me and I felt at ease with the process."

“I’d advise this year’s Clearing applicants to, above anything else, have faith in yourself and your ability. The team are not there to catch you out, they want you to succeed."

"Be true to yourself and honest in all that you do as this will increase your chance of success. Clearing can be really daunting but it may also be the best thing that you do for yourself."

“The Paramedic Science course has exceeded my expectations and I am really enjoying it. The staff are friendly and always willing to help me with any issues I encounter. I always feel listened to and, considering the added aspect of online learning, the teaching standard has been exceptional."

“Whilst there has been a reduced social life and it has been harder to connect with everyone across the course because of the coronavirus pandemic, I still feel as though I have made lots of connections with some truly incredible people.”
