“The advice I’d give to any student applying through Clearing is to really look in depth at the courses that could help you get to your end goal, no matter what it is. Your backup plan might end up being better than the route you originally wanted to take!

“I originally got accepted to study Biomedical Science at a different university but, before accepting the offer, I looked into my current course (Healthcare Science) and felt it was more hands on and more interactive.

“I think one of the best aspects of going to university is trying to find out what things work for you and learning to be independent. At first, I found the course content difficult to learn, but I have used all the help and facilities that St George’s provide, from silent study to group projects. There is always a place I can go to work.

“When it comes to Covid-19, the virus hit towards the end of my lectures but learning over the internet felt exactly the same as being in lectures or seminars, except I wasn’t there physically. Learning remotely is helpful for those who are night owls and learn better during the evening.

“All in all, my time at St Georges has been great. It has great places to sit and eat with friends and the Students’ Union is spacious and is another place where I like to hang out.”
