Brian says:

“My advice to students applying through Clearing this year would be to research the courses that you're interested in beforehand.

"Having a rough idea will prevent you from having a lot more to do further down the line which will only stress you out.

“It will also mean less time spent waiting as other students will be in Clearing at the same time as you. My final piece of advice would be to take your time to think after you've initially enquired. It is important not to rush things.

“As you will be spending a few years completing your chosen course, taking a bit of time to conduct more research about the university, and the course itself, will ensure that you have made the right decision.

“My first year at St George's has been very enjoyable. The course is exactly what I'm looking for and I believe it will help me develop the skills and experience that I require to reach my desired career. Both my friends and staff have been very supportive, the staff especially have been very willing to help out with any questions or struggles I encountered.

“I also like non-academic side of St George's. I have made friends that are very supportive and great to hang out with. I also like the opportunities for me to pursue my hobbies such as sport and music, in conjunction with my studies.”
