Withdrawing from your studies
If you are considering withdrawing from your course please contact your Course Team. You may also wish to discuss this with your Personal Tutor and with the Careers service.
If you are considering withdrawing from a pre-registration healthcare course, including Medicine and the Allied Health courses, you should discuss the implications with your course team. If you apply to resume studying for the same qualification in the future you may be asked account for your study and withdrawal at St George’s.
If you do withdraw from your course or the University terminates your registration before completion of your course, you will have all access to services withdrawn with immediate effect with the exception of your email account which will remain active for an additional 90 days. Your tuition fee will be adjusted according to the Tuition Fee Policy.
- You must inform Student Finance England (SFE) and any other body from which you receive funding. Please contact studentfinance@sgul.ac.uk for advice.
- You will be required to leave University Halls if you are a resident.
- You must return these items to your Course Administration Team: your ID card and any locker key, NHS smartcard, IT equipment or placement ID cards which have been issued to you.
- You must pay any outstanding tuition fees due and any Library and Halls fees.
- If you are on a Student Visa we will inform the Home Office of your withdrawal, this will result in the curtailment of your visa.
You will then be considered for an Exit Award.
Alumni retain access to the Careers Service for life.
