The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive outlines the requirements and responsibilities for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

You should contact St George’s Safety, Health and Environment office for advice on disposal of computers or other IT-related equipment, or refer to the waste electrical and electronic equipment EC directive .

Please note that St George’s-owned PCs (and installed software) should never be taken off-site, or otherwise disposed of, without consulting IT Services first.

In order to maintain and control our licensing of software applications, you must contact IT/AV Support for advice on the disposal of your PC, including the removal of all St George’s licensed applications and sensitive data.

Removal of St George’s software off-campus for personal use or any other non-St George’s use will be considered a breach of the our conditions of use policy and may result in disciplinary action.
