A new flexible computer room has opened in J1.9, which is located on the first floor of Jenner Wing along Corridor 1.

The room provides 42 additional study spaces on campus for students. Each study space contains a computer in pop-up casing, giving the option to either use the computer in the ‘up’ position, or unlock additional desk space in the ‘down’ position. Each space also contains a charging point for students’ own devices.

The opening hours of the room will be:

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-10pm
  • Saturday-Sunday, 9am-4:30pm.

J1.9 was formerly the location of the Self-Directed Learning Room, which was superseded by the new Clinical Practice Room on the 5th Floor of Hunter Wing.

The project to repurpose the space into a flexible computer room was jointly led by Estates and Facilities and Information Services as part of the Office for Students’ capital funding award.
