Under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 every organisation that processes personal information must pay a fee to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), unless they are exempt.
The ICO maintain a Register of 'fee payers' which is publicly accessible and each entry contains details of the data controller's name and address, any other trading names, registration number, level of fee paid, when the registration is due to expire and the name and contact details of the organisations Data Protection Officer (where provided).
From the 1st August 2024 the merger of City, University of London and St George's, University of London (SGUL) means that the new City St George's (CSG), University of London will use the City registration number Z89047127 which has been amended to reflect the new merged university. SGUL's registration, Z5770328, ends from this date. Registration entries with the ICO can be found here
