The course will introduce students to key psychological findings aimed at optimising the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including coping with stress and negative life events. The learning is distinctive as it provides experiential tasks during the sessions and as additional homework between sessions that embeds the  knowledge in the  student’s own lives.

The main outcomes will include students feeling more comfortable with themselves, more positive about their abilities, future and life. They will be more able to cope with setbacks and challenges. They will be able to alter their beliefs and values in situations where old habits are preventing them from achieving significant goals in their lives.

The course will run every Wednesday over six one-hour sessions on Microsoft Teams.

Certificates of attendance can be provided if 80% of attendance has been met.  All undergraduate students at SGUL including Joint Faculty are welcome to apply. Due to the nature of this course, we can only accept the first 25 students to sign up.
