Four Biomedical Scientist students and their lecturer in the lab Cropped

"The main focus of our course is to complete a research project of up to 25,000 words in length on a selected subject area. For example, I am currently doing one in genetics, specifically next generation sequencing of rare neurological diseases. However we all study taught modules which are interactive, challenging and stimulating. For example, in one of our modules (Case Studies of Drug Discovery and Development), half of the class is in a typical lecture format – but there is still lots of opportunities for discussion during that time. The second half is discussion-based. This includes a journal club, debates, short presentations and much more. We also have an online only-module (Genomic Technologies in Clinical Diagnostics), perfect for scheduling around our research projects, but we are still welcome anytime to visit the lecturers in person for queries."I especially enjoy the friendly approach of the lecturers and willingness to accommodate for your academic needs. We have a close-knit class and everyone is on board to help each other learn. The great atmosphere and state of the art facilities allow you to almost study literally any field you want to."
