The Zeiss Axioplan 2 Upright Microscope offers clear transmitted light imaging (Bright field, DIC, and Phase Contrast) as well as fluorescent imaging via an HBO 100W lamp with filters for DAPI, GFP, FITC and Rhodamine, which also facilititates the use of fluorophores with similar excitation/emission spectra.
The Axiocam MR3 camera allows high-sensitivity fluorescent imaging and the Axiocam HR for transmitted light.
The microscope is controlled by AxioVision 4.8; a user friendly software for which a quick reference guide is available.
