St George’s was recently named as the number one university in the UK for graduate prospects in the newly published 2023 Complete University Guide.
My role facilitates researcher and student access to high end light microscopy (LM) equipment; I train all LM users of the Image Resource Facility (IRF) on our equipment, troubleshoot any issues that arise, maintain the equipment, and contribute to experiment design. I am responsible for developing our LM technologies & techniques and contribute my microscopy expertise to teaching events.
I have recently integrated a custom-built Light Sheet microscope (SPIM - Selective Plane Illumination Microscopy) which is now available for staff to receive introductory training on, and I'm interested in flexible, sub-diffraction ("super resolution") imaging platforms suitable for live imaging for shared use in the IRF.
