A one-day practical workshop in central London will offer expert guidance on the diagnosis and management of pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension.

There will be a special focus on the conditions in women and with regard to pregnancy, as well as on preoperative assessments and anaesthesia risks.

Led by Professor Brendan Madden of St George’s, it will take place on Friday May 4 at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

The programme is aimed at anaesthetists and specialists in respiratory medicine, cardiology and haematology as well as general practitioners, nurses, and other health professionals with an interest in pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolism.

This workshop is offered for free to students and trainees. The workshop costs £59 for early registrants and has been approved by the FRCP for 6 category 1 CPD credits.
