The St George’s, University of London Graduation 2017 saw 521 graduates join the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals as they received their degree at our annual ceremony. The presentation took place at London’s Barbican Centre on 20 July.

Children who sleep an hour less at higher risk of type 2 diabetes, says study

A study has found that children who slept on average one hour less a night had higher risk factors for type 2 diabetes, including higher levels of blood glucose and insulin resistance.

A refugee’s story: From war-torn Syria to graduation as a doctor

Five years ago Tirej Brimo left Syria with all his possessions in just one bag. He fled Aleppo which was under siege during the Syrian civil war. Now he has graduated as a doctor from St George’s, University of London.

Aspiring doctors will get the chance study medicine this year at St George’s, University of London as a small number of places will be available through the Clearing process.

Tens of thousands of students use UCAS Clearing & Adjustment each year to find a university place, either because they got better or worse grades than expected, or because they changed their plans.
