During the ceremony, 649 students from 14 different medicine, healthcare and science courses will be joining our alumni network of over 17,000 former students.

The day is split into a morning and afternoon session. Students who have completed degrees in Medicine, Healthcare Science and Physician Associates will be graduating in the morning. In the afternoon, students will graduate from a further 11 courses ranging from undergraduate Biomedical Science to postgraduate Genomic Medicine.

Principal Jenny Higham, who will be speaking at the event, says, “Thirty-seven percent of working British adults say their job is not making a meaningful contribution to the world, according to a 2015 YouGov poll. Among those working in London, 41 percent say their jobs are unfulfilling.

“You will buck those trends with rich and diverse futures ahead of you. As healthcare scientists, doctors and physician associates, you will make an impact on the lives of others day in, day out.

“We are delighted that you chose St George’s for your studies and that you are now going forth into the world to share your knowledge and expertise. Thank you for all you have contributed whilst with us, both to your studies and more broadly.”
