New 10 minute diagnostic test will tell whether you have heart disease

A hand held device that could detect heart disease from a few drops of patient’s blood in less than 10 minutes is being created by a group of researchers.

Researchers to investigate how new physician associates help patients in hospitals

A new study will determine whether new physician associates (PAs), who are increasing being used in the NHS, have a positive impact on the treatment of patients as part of the medical team and have a future role helping fill gaps in healthcare provision.

St George's graduates share their stories

The Class of 2015 joined the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals as they received their degrees at this year's graduation ceremony. The presentation took place at London’s Barbican Centre on 16 July, where more than 650 graduates were handed their certificates as they joined an international network of over 17,000 alumni.

Mena, pictured above third from left, will soon be working as an academic foundation doctor at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Ultimately, he hopes to specialise in anaesthetics or neurology.
