The results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 have revealed that St George’s, University of London has ranked joint 8th in the country for research impact out of 129 institutions.
St George’s, University of London and Kingston University have agreed to structural changes which mean their Joint Faculty of Health Social Care and Education will cease to exist from 1 August 2022.
There will be no changes to the teaching or award of degrees for students currently on any of the programmes offered through the Joint Faculty. There will, however, be a change to the university structure in which these are delivered. The Centre for Allied Health, which manages the majority of St George’s programmes in the Joint Faculty, will move across formally to St George's, becoming part of our Institute of Medical and Biomedical Education.
As at present, new students will be registered with the university, Kingston University or St George's, University of London, responsible for the award of their degree.
