Here’s a few things to check up on before you leave home:

  • First Steps is a useful booklet produced by the British Council. It includes lots of information about preparing for your studies in the UK and settling into your new study-life here. First Steps (PDF)
  • We also recommend you check Prepare for Success, an interactive web learning tool for international students. The website offers useful information about the UK, an insight to British culture and life here.
  • The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) have information on keeping healthy. This provides the up to date information you need about the NHS, costs and registering with a local GP.
  • Follow us on social media. Facebook and Twitter are great ways to interact with the University and prospective and current students. Our YouTube channel has interesting student profiles and other videos about St George’s.
