Fees and funding

Fees and funding

St George's charges an annual tuition fee. This covers the cost of your tuition, examinations and, where relevant, clinical placements.

We do not want financial constraints to prevent anyone from being able to study with us and offer generous bursaries to students from lower-income households. These are in addition to government loans and bursaries which you may also be eligible for.

For undergraduate UK and EU students starting in 2012, student tuition fee levels and financial support will change significantly. If you are confused about what this will mean for you personally, read through fees and funding 2012 information. This aims to keep you informed of how the changes will affect you and the financial support available to you. You will also find lots of useful resources on our National Student Finance Day page.

The fees you pay and the financial support you receive depend on the course you are taking, your family’s income and whether you are considered a home* or an overseas student.

If you are a prospective postgraduate student, please see our postgraduate finance page. If you are a student from outside the EU, please visit our international student fees pages.

*A home student is a student who meets certain residency conditions. Usually this means you have an unrestricted right to enter and remain in the UK and you have been ordinarily resident in the UK for three years prior to the start of your course. None of this time must have been spent in the UK wholly or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education. For further information, visit the Directgov website. If you are an asylum seeker or refugee contact admissions@sgul.ac.uk
