Fees and funding
There have been changes made to fees and funding for those studying in the UK. Read more about this below.
Undergraduate tuition fees and funding
St George’s will be charging UK and EU/EEA students £9,000 per year for all undergraduate degree-level courses and £6,000 per year for foundation-level courses starting in 2012. This covers the cost of your tuition, examinations and, where relevant, clinical placements. Read more about our tuition fees.
If you are confused about what these changes will mean for you personally, read through 2012 undergraduate fees and funding information. This will inform you of how the changes will affect you and the financial support available. You will also find lots of useful resources on our National Student Finance Day page.
If you are a student from outside the EU, please visit our international student fees pages.
Postgraduate tuition fees and funding
If you are thinking about coming to St George's as a postgraduate student, please see our postgraduate tuition fees page. If you are a student from outside the EU, please visit our international student fees pages.
Grants and bursaries
We do not want financial constraints to prevent anyone from being able to study with us and offer generous bursaries to students from lower-income households. These are in addition to government loans and bursaries which you may also be eligible for. Please see our grants and bursaries page.
The fees you pay and the financial support you receive depend on the course you are taking, your family’s income and whether you are considered a home* or an overseas student.
*A home student is a student who meets certain residency conditions. Usually this means you have an unrestricted right to enter and remain in the UK and you have been ordinarily resident in the UK for three years prior to the start of your course. None of this time must have been spent in the UK wholly or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education. For further information, visit the Directgov website. If you are an asylum seeker or refugee contact admissions@sgul.ac.uk
