- Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) (UCAS B160)
- Paramedic Science Foundation Degree (UCAS B780)
- Medicine (five-year) MBBS5 (UCAS A100)
- Medicine (four-year graduate stream) MBBS5 (UCAS A101)
- Midwifery BSc (Hons) (UCAS B720)
Dates, deadlines and costs for 2012/13 applicants
Applicants on the above courses who firmly accept a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at SGUL will receive accommodation application information either via email or in June 2011.
The weekly rate at Horton Halls for the 2012-13 academic year is £130-£140 per week. When planning how much money to allow for accommodation, you should typically budget for a 42-week academic year, although this may be longer for some courses.
Note that students who will be studying on the BSc (Hons) Midwifery course will be sent application forms by the joint Faculty of Health and Social Care Science Admissions Office - SGUL is unable to send forms directly to these students.
Allocation process
All undergraduate students on the above courses who firmly accept a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at SGUL, and who apply for Horton Halls by the specified deadline are prioritised for a place in hall for their first year. We are normally able to allocate all students who apply, however a room in halls is not guaranteed. Those students who are unsuccessful will be added to a waiting list, and then allocated accommodation on a first-come-first-served basis.
Students who accept a conditional or unconditional offer as an insurance place will be added to the waiting list, and then allocated accommodation on a first-come-first-served basis as students' first choice universities release them and the students firmly accept academic offers at St George’s.
Single sex accommodation
Horton Halls is a mixed-sex halls of residence. We can arrange for groups of students to be housed together in flats of same-sex study bedrooms. However, we cannot restrict other residents from bringing friends of the opposite sex into the common areas of a flat composed of same-sex study bedrooms, or their own study/bedroom unit.
Students who are unsure if this will be a suitable living environment for their needs may wish to consider other accommodation options.
