Local partnerships
At St George’s, University of London, we have an international reputation for research and innovation. We have strong links with other institutions, which reinforces our research opportunities and offerings.
The most significant research collaboration at St George’s is with St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust. The University and the Hospital together form a co-located teaching hospital and healthcare-university partnership in south London. We have always shared the tripartite mission of medical schools and their teaching hospitals – teaching, research, and clinical service.
South West Academic Network (SWan) is a collaboration between St George's University of London, Royal Holloway University of London, and Kingston University. One of SWan’s key goals is to foster collaborative research between its member institutions with a focus on encouraging and developing innovative, cross-institutional research in the biomedical, life science and health & social care disciplines.
South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust provides the full range of mental health and social care services for the local population including those with learning disabilities, children and adolescents, adults of working age and older people. In addition, the Trust provide regional and national specialist services, including eating disorders, personality disorders, forensics and deaf services.
The Academic Health and Social Care Network (AHSN) provide world-class health and social care services to people living in south west London. This partnership is made up of all of the key health and social care organisations in South West London’s six Boroughs.
