The St George’s 2016 Graduation Ceremony took place on Thursday 14 July at the Barbican Centre.

Graduating students and their guests were welcomed by Professor Adrian Smith, Vice Chancellor of the University of London. Professor Jenny Higham, Principal of St George’s, gave a speech in which she described the university’s contribution to medical history and its spirit of innovation.

Alongside the hundreds of graduates receiving their degrees, Professors Ross Anderson and Patricia Hughes and Dr Gwen Adshead received Honorary Fellowships.

The Principal said: "I, least of all, would have thought at my own point of graduation that I would ever be in the role that I have now.

"My advice to you all is: don’t limit your horizons or aspirations. You are on a journey and it will be fascinating to follow your progress."
