As an international student you also have full access to all of the support provided by the careers service so if you wish to discuss your career, make an appointment to talk to the careers adviser. The careers adviser can not give you advice on work permits or visas. For this you can contact the St George's international student support officer at the details above.
English language support
When you get here, you might find that the way English is used is different from what you are used to or what you have been taught at home. Whether its pronunciation, colloquialisms, or writing style, you may find that you’d like some extra help once you arrive. Find out more at the Student Centre.

Money and living costs in the UK
The cost of living in the UK is quite high. Despite this Tooting, should you choose to live here, is cheaper than the rest of London. St George's can offer advice and help with budgeting once you reach the UK. Check our Fees and UK finance section for more information.
Tooting life
Tooting is a culturally vibrant place with a diverse and mixed background of people and cultures. This diversity is reflected in the shops, restaurants and local facilities. Big name chain stores such as Sainsbury's and Primark can be found on the High Street, but Tooting comes into it’s own with the large variety of specialised and traditional shops and grocery stores – not to mention Tooting and Broadway Markets which provide a varied and interesting selection of clothes and fruit and vegetables from around the world.
