Please note that the UKBA periodically releases a new version of the Tier 4 application form as aspects of Tier 4 are amended. It is essential that you submit the most up to date application form to the UKBA otherwise your application will be refused. We therefore recommend that if you print out your application form more than one week before you intend to submit it to the UKBA that you check the UKBA website again before you submit your application to make sure that you have completed the most up to date form.
It is important that you read the Tier 4 Policy Guidance before you complete your application form as this contains all of the requirements for making a successful Tier 4 application.

We recommend that you photocopy your application form and keep a copy for your records before you submit the original to the UKBA. You will then have a copy to refer to if there are any problems with your application.
Points to note
It is essential that you answer all of the questions on the application form unless the application form directs you to go to another question and miss out the questions in between.
Example 1:
Many people forget to answer B25: ‘Has the student ever lived in Northern Ireland?’ If you don’t answer this question your application will be rejected as being invalid.
Example 2:
Question K4 asks if you need a visa in order to study English as a foreign language only. If your answer is ‘No’ then you should move to question K6 and not answer question K5.
Similarly don’t forget to tick the box at question B1 to confirm that you are submitting the required photographs with your application otherwise your application could be refused.
Your photographs must meet the requirements contained within the UKBA’s Photograph guidance information

You must write your full name on the back of each photograph and place them in a small sealed envelope before attaching this envelope to page five of the application form.
