Course overview

Diagnostic radiographers are responsible for the acquisition of high quality clinical images used to detect, monitor and manage disease processes and the effects of trauma. They utilise a wide range of sophisticated technological equipment for different imaging modalities, such as X-ray, ultrasound and CT and MRI scanning, and combine this expertise with high standards of patient care. This course is designed for people who want to combine a science background with medical, biological and physiological sciences and apply their training in a caring clinical environment.

If you are shortlisted by SGUL you will be invited to an interview. This will normally be 15 minutes long in front of a panel of two (usually an academic and a clinician). You should ideally have work experience in a medical or health-related field and be able to demonstrate a broad awareness and understanding of the scope of the role of the radiographer and the radiography profession. Read more about the non-academic requirements.

This course is based at St George’s, Kingston University and on clinical placement. The course is offered by the joint Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences, a partnership between St George’s and Kingston University. Visit Kingston’s School of Radiography pages.
